Summary: invoiced management

This is an example composition of the dynamic summary. People build their own. Here the chart is Billed status: what is already marked invoiced and what is still pending.

The close question is “how much of this billable amount already went on an invoice, and was there margin left?”. The hours in this slice are the billable ones: the time that can go on an invoice.

Menu Reports > Customizable summary.

💡 Marking a time entry as invoiced happens on the detailed report. This summary only reads the status.

The chart

With Show charts on, choose the Billed status tab. The chart columns split invoiced and not yet invoiced. The table carries billable hours, the amount, the margin, and both sides of the status.

The example columns

Under Columns, for this slice:

  • Billable Hours — time in the group marked billable.
  • Billable Value — what the group’s hours are worth to bill.
  • Margin — revenue minus cost, for anyone who sees profit.
  • Invoiced — the part of the billable amount already marked invoiced.
  • Uninvoiced — the part that still lacks that mark.

The chart shows the same two sides across the month. The table gives the number for the group.

Cost and amount without invoice status are in financial management. Hours only, without money, are in hours management.

The example grouping

Groupings: Client, then Project. At close, the period filter is the previous month.

Click a total to see the time entries behind that number and check which ones still lack the invoiced mark.

When to use this slice

Use it on the invoicing queue: what already went out and what can still go on the invoice.

Do not use it to edit the invoiced mark in bulk. Go back to the detailed report.
